Yesterday, the U.S. House of Representatives, they passed that continuing resolution with a 217 to 213 vote. The vote was

mostly along party lines. One Democrat voted for it. One Republican voted against it. And two

members did not vote. So think about this. A party that campaigned once again on reigning in federal spending, a party that campaigned on

getting inflation under control, a party who campaigned on and promised that they were going

to turn back the hands of time on the damage done by the Biden administration.

And what did they do yesterday? All but one of them, all but one of them said, let's just

largely continue the status quo, certainly as it relates to spending. Now, their argument is

going to be, well, we moved some money from over here to over there and we took away from this and we put it towards that spending is basically the same the joe biden's spending

levels will continue for another six months what have the republicans done since they took back the

house of representatives in 2022 and they've controlled the money so that's 22 23 or 23, or 22, 23, 24. We're on our second,

we're two and a half years into Republicans holding the purse strings. Yeah. What do you have?

They did like to say yes to Joe Biden, didn't they? So the bill's now going to go to the Senate for

approval and it's going to fund the government through the end of September. Non-defense spending would increase by $13 billion, while defense spending will increase by $6 billion.

So spending continues to increase.

$19 billion.

Right.
