This is the Marketplace Minute. I'm Justin Ho. Stocks were mixed on Friday. The Dowell fell 3 quarters percent. The S&P lost more than a tenth of our percent, but the NASDAQ rose more than a tenth of our percent, but the Nasdaq rose more than a tenth of

a percent. The House of Representatives passed a $1.2 trillion spending

package, just hours ahead of a midnight deadline. The bill now heads to the

Senate. Failure to pass it would result in a partial

government shutdown. If it passes, the bill would fund the government through the end of September.

Chrysler's pairing company, Stolantis, is laying off about 400 people, according to the Wall Street Journal.

That's about 2% of its software and engineering staff. Stilantis has been focusing more on EVs.

And the insurance company State Farm will not... has been focusing more on EVs.

And the insurance company State Farm will not renew 72,000 insurance policies in California.

A lot of big insurers have been pulling out of states prone to wildfires and other natural disasters.
