0:09.1	I'm Mike Whitmer, and I called today's reading House of Worship.
0:14.4	When Britain's House of Commons was bombed in World War II,
0:18.4	Prime Minister Winston Churchill told Parliament they must rebuild it according to its
0:23.1	original design. It must be small, so debates would remain face to face. It must be oblong,
0:31.2	rather than semi-circular, allowing politicians to move around the center. This preserved Britain's party system,
0:39.2	where left and right faced each other across the room, requiring careful thought before
0:45.3	switching sides. Churchill concluded, We shape our buildings, and afterwards, our buildings shape us.
