We're back on HBO with House of the Dragon Season 2.

It's been two years, but it feels like two decades, two centuries, since last we were in Westeros.

That's just because I'm getting older.

That's the only reason.

That's true.

That's because I'm here, ancient like Vassaris won at the end of my life.

That's just why it seems that way.

But no, we're finally back with season two of Hot D, episode one, a son for a son.

Yes, it's the season two premiere, written by Ryan Condal and directed by Alan Taylor.

And I figured we could start off by just, what are our general thoughts? I'll go first

because I'm currently talking. It's good. I think it's good. I think we're back. It's about what,

you know, where I expected a solid episode of the House of the Dragon, Game of Thrones milieu.

I think one thing going back to Game of Thrones, I don't think about the season

premieres or being the real barn burners of the seasons. They're usually very much focused on setup,

reacquainting the audiences with what happened last season, who the characters are, what their

current situation is. And you do get a lot of that here. Um, you know, basically until the end,

we're basically like, what is this person doing now four or five days removed from the death

of Luceris Valerian. Um, and in that sense, I thought that was great. It pretty much hit all the
