The intro tapestry has added two new scenes here in episode three called the Burning Mill.

It didn't change in episode two so these are the first changes as far as we can tell.

Instead of the weaves depicting the death of Prince Luceris and those showing Rainira and Egon on their seats with their crowns, we see a golden line stitched across the neck of poor Prince Jeheris, simultaneously representing his death and how his body was dressed up for the morning crowd.

Then there's a group of rat catchers dangling from their nooses,

and quite a bit more blood, indicating how these last two events began a trail of blood that has yet to be written.

But the weavingings of Eagon the Conqueror earlier in the intro,

especially this one of Heron Hall,

are also important here, as his name and imager invoked

quite a few times in this episode.

Following up on the sewing of the tapestry,

there's the sewing of the seeds of war, the latest being the attempted assassination of Rainier by Sir Arrick, which incidentally will be remembered more than Prince J' Harris in the long run.

At the funeral of Sir Eric and his twin, Rainish reminds Rainera of several other seeds planted in the past. The many provocations both sides have endured and inflicted how those provocations will be forgotten, small by comparison amidst the atrocities of full-scale conflict,

and how perhaps there's still a chance to avert a war of dragons.

She suspects Otto High Tower has lost control, and she's more right than she knows. She's quite wrong on the matter of averting a war of dragons, but it's easy for us to say that.

The men of the Black Council behave as if war has already begun, and they are right.

Over at the Green Council, Egon slams the cat's paw dagger of ice and fire into the table,

emphasizing that same conclusion.

The Blackwoods and Brackens, two houses who have fought each other more than any other house in the history of Westros, hey, that's us.

Have gone at it already. Remember, we saw a Blackwood kill a bracken in front of Rainera at Storm's end back in season one.

Aeman tells the Council the brackens attacked first, though we don't see that, and I don't know how he would know.

Regardless, the Green Council wants to claim victory.
