Radio Westeros, House of the Dragon, season one, episode episode 2 The Road Prince. Hello and welcome to Radio Estras I'm Yoke Boy and it's great to talk about the second episode of House of the Dragon called The Rogue Prince.

Today we'll be reacting to and evaluating this episode as well as making

plenty of book comparisons because we are hardcore book fans so you'll get some insights related to the texts starting with the fact that the

episode title is a direct reference to the short story about Damon Targarian that

appeared in the collection rogags back in 2014 so he can expect a pretty

Damon heavy episode. We'll avoid spoiling the future plot of House of the Dragon

as much as we can, but we'll have a

spoilers all books section at the end and we'll give our unsullied audience a

giant heads up for that. So whatever you're a song of ice and fire game of thrones background we have a lot to offer and

we'll certainly be ready to fill in the blanks about law and story depth

that the show understandably skirts over. So this episode jumped over six months in the timeline

and with the key characters having been introduced last week, there was room for extra

extra characterization as the writers turned the drama dial up several

notches. So in spite of the fact that at 52 minutes long this is by far the shortest episode of the season there's lots to talk about today
