House flippers need to be stopped. It has been way too long of seeing people go in and ruin perfectly good houses,

creating brand new gut remodels, and that's what we're going to talk about today.

The problems with house flipping as a whole, the housewippers that actually do it right, because believe it or not, I do think there

are some good house flippers, the do's and don'ts of house flipping, that I would just love to see

house flippers either stop doing or start doing. Let's get into it. And if you're new here, I'm Shelby

you know, it used to be we're talking about ways to make your life better, but the commentary

style videos you guys seem to like more, so I'm rolling with that for a bit. Well, I have

things that I think are interesting to talk about. So house flipping became super popular from

HGTV, of course. And with anything on TV, we know it's not completely accurate all the time and not completely true.

Really disappointed. A North Carolina couple turned to HGTV, love it, or list it.

The couple claims the renovations were disastrous.

We took out a substantial loan for this.

Their allegations include damaged and stained floorboards, open holes, low grade carpeting over chipped concrete and unpainted surfaces.

So HGTV, they kind of glamorize house flipping.

They show the profit that who knows if it's even true.

I do think that on flip or flop, for example, that show, they probably showed times that they didn't make money, right? It's been a while since I've watched that show, but they make it look really easy. They show some of the problems, but overall, you're sitting on your couch. So it kind of gets you thinking, hey, maybe I could do that too. In fact, it got a lot of people thinking that because now we see, if you go on Zillow or redfin tons of flipped houses that are not

well done some of them um some are i actually have like a favorite house flipper in l.a like i always see

his work and i'm like wow i am tempted to buy that but most of them i'm like why did you pick that

why did you pick that ugly gray flooring that I would just want to rip out immediately?

But that's so wasteful, so I'm not going to do it. I'm just not going to buy that house.
