What you're looking on the screen here is what we've been reporting. If you look at the 357 in the lower left, now 358 votes, they have cleared the threshold, which means they appear in the Congress now to have been able to do what they failed to do in the last several votes.

And that is build a path towards passing this spending bill.

Technically, this vote is the

motion to suspend the rules, the two-thirds needed, as we've reported. But bottom line, we are looking at a

process that, while it has not concluded, we have not gaveled in a result, the House appears to have

the votes to move forward on a plan that would ultimately avoid a shutdown. They're moving forward

after those Elon Musk,

Trump pieces of sort of infighting and delays without actually getting to the debt ceiling

piece that Elon Musk had demanded. If you're joining us right now, as we are, it's top of the

day on the Hill. And so, Julia, what are you seeing here in the vote totals we were just reporting on?

Well, Ari, the vote is not closed until it is closed. So while it looks like this will pass,

we're going to wait and see until it's gaveled out. But as Ali mentioned, there's a key

difference between today and last night, and that is

Democratic support. The difference is last night, Hakeem Jeffries whipped the vote against

the bill last night because it included that debt ceiling extension. Now, today, that is gone

from the bill. And therein lies the difference. That was a non-starter

for Democrats, even though that was President-elect Trump's key demand in this negotiation at the

11th hour. And so even though you had someone like Elon Musk earlier today tweeting, asking if it was

a Democrat or Republican bill, he has since
