We learned so much this week.

Shout out to Curtis Rogers, an interview with Shams Trania. We got to talk

about the NBA in all likelihood returning to Seattle for real this time. We had a great

interview. For real this time. You know what I mean? We've been joking forever how it's just a

carrot being dangled in front of the city. And now we're actually talking about a legitimate

vote to explore a legitimate purchaser for a legitimate team in 2028 and 29.

We learned about whether or not it's a good idea to pay JSN a market setting contract.

We learned about themes from the NFL last year.

We also took a listen to some interviews from other shows and have a bunch of takeaways. So let's cover our bases here. We're going to start with revisiting that interview

with Shams. We started by asking him, well, what kind of changed? A year, year and a half ago,

what I heard from a lot of people around the ownership level was just not knowing where it could

be, not knowing what these teams could really sell for, not knowing, narrowing down which markets you want to go in, right? So now you've narrowed it down as Las Vegas and Seattle. Now there is a projection of what a sale could look like, what the bidding prices could look like. And then from there, the NBA is going to have to do the work. And they're going to have to go out there. And over the next several months, you know, if and when. And I think there's a full expectation that this vote next week will be passed to then give the NBA the authority to do so. That's when the process starts. And a little more on that meeting next week. This first vote next week on the 24th and 25th

of the board of governors meeting is a formality to pass from my understanding. And that will then

give the NBA the permission, the readiness to go and start a bidding process, start a franchise

purchasing process to explore. It says, yeah, explore these two new expansion franchises in Las Vegas and in Seattle.
