9.6 billion dollars. What does that mean? What does that number mean, Brock?

A bunch of things. Two that jump out to me, though, specifically.

I mean, the first one is just that, look, it means that all of those conversations

about the city of Seattle, the region, the tax structure, the stuff does not have an effect

on something of this magnitude and especially, you know, not in when the price is going to be

in the billions of dollars. I don't know what people thought was going to happen. I know that there were some folks trying to generate clicks off of that story. But like, what do you think a $10 billion, $9 billion team was going to sell for $2 billion? Like, what did you think was going to happen? Like, it just never really made any sense to me. And when you see the price tag, obviously, you know, it didn't.

I mean, I think short, short term political strife or short term climates or whatever that when you're talking about these investments in those dollars, you're looking over decades and decades past and projection.

And could it be a little bumpy or there's going to be things to figure out? Has there been some employment that has been lost in our market? Absolutely. But does that mean, as you project out for the next 10 to 20 years, that it's going to decay and die? I think that number that they paid for that tells you, no. It's an enormous price. You know, it's crazy. I don't know if you saw this, but I just kind of jumped out to me. It's actually less. I did see this. How crazy is that? This is from a guy named Will Schrever. Paul Allen bought the Seahawks for $194 million and 97. 29 years later, the team sells for $9.6.1.2 billion. If he had invested the original amount in Microsoft stock, it would have been worth

almost 12 billion. It would have been worth significantly more money, 2.27 billion more, 2.2.2

billion more if he had just kept the money in Microsoft. That's how well Microsoft has done

over those 29 years. Here's the other thing it makes me think, and this may be different. Wickersham maybe has a different take on this and coming at it from a different angle. But I just look at the number. And it makes me think they are not going to try to build a new stadium. That that will not be any sort of an immediate conversation. 10 years, 15 years down the road. I'm not trying to guarantee anything.

But I just, he mentioned the Penner family and they bought the Broncos. They spent four and a half billion. Yeah, they're going to spend five billion. That was just four years ago. Right. That reportedly,
