So fun. Howie Long, so cool, Brock.

I really enjoyed that. I just, I love getting a chance to talk to him.

And I kind of do love the ADD element of where his mind goes.

Howie is, I mean, legendary player for those like Lyle that probably don't remember him or even know that he was a player, legendary, relentless defensive linemen

with the Raider.

I mean, just an incredible, incredible player who's been, you know, the voice of halftime,

pregame and Fox forever.

I mean, like he and, and Terry have been doing that forever and ever and ever.

And when they first came on, they were really edgy and new

and brought a totally different energy to the whole idea of pre and post game and halftime.

And I just want to say, I mean, what he's doing now, I don't want to say this with him, he has really been kind to his partner. Because Terry Bradshaw, I mean, it's time. It's, it's sort of hard to listen to at this point. But Terry's been doing it for so long. And I just, I think the way how he handles it is so professional. A lot of grace. That's right. A lot of grace. And just kindness. Just real genuine kindness, love and affinity for the guy that he's been paired with for, what, 30 years? One little behind the scenes, fun little story. And then one little nugget he did share that I thought was pretty good amidst a lot of different storytelling and fun things is when I started to do media, this is way back when I was also

doing real estate with my late great boss Frank Staghan that I've referenced and especially

referenced early Salk in our career doing radio and all the wisdom that he would impart on me.

And Frank would say, you know, if you're going to do this, you know who you should really dress like? Howie Long? That guy's look is always so good.

Whoever his stylist is or whatever. Like he always, he always, well, he kind of did as a player too,

man. He looked good in his uniform and he dominated people. yeah he is uh he is still just such a

gracious nice guy i mean to pop on with us was just awesome but the wisdom was november 5th 2023

do you remember november 5th 2023 was that where they got spanked by the uh by the ravens

that was when p carroll john schneider and the seahahawks, and Shane Waldron and crew went out to Baltimore, Maryland to play the Ravens.

And one Mike McDonald was the offense or defense coordinator for those ravens.

And on that day, looking back at November 5th of 2023, a day that ultimately John Schneider told Howie and those guys at Fox shaped them. Because on that day, they had no answers. Pete Carroll, remember sitting with him, you know, after that game on a Monday. And that was one of those games where he was just like, I don't know how they do. We got to study what they do.
