Well, Brock, news came out earlier this morning, about an hour ago, just under, that Pete Carroll was relieved of his duties.

I love all the different descriptions of being fired that you get around the NFL.

Some people are relieved of their duties.

Some people are let go.

Some people are asked not to, they all get like a different, a different phrase. Yeah, terminated their contract. Right. Everybody has a, a different way of doing it. But

Pete was let go. I don't think it was a huge surprise. I think it was pretty well expected at this point

after just a miserable season. And I think, you know, Pete didn't need to win this year, but he couldn't have been a joke.

And I think by the end of the year, not even by the end of the year, throughout the year, the Raiders were a joke.

And unfortunately for Pete, I think he didn't have the right assistant coaches again.

He bet on the wrong quarterback, unfortunately for him and Gino Smith, who let him down and had a terrible year. And you put all that together, it's really hard to get your culture untracked. And by the way, I don't know how much alignment there was with John SpyTech and Tom Brady and the other powers that be in that Raiders organization. So it wasn't the right fit. It didn't work. Pete leaves, but you can't help but think and juxtapose where the Raiders and Peter are at today versus where the Seahawks are at, winning the NFC, winning the NFC West and sitting around waiting on a first round by. They made the right call. And we knew that at the time. I mean, like everyone knew it, but it's really, I think, hammered home today as they're having the kind of success they are. Are you sure everybody knew that? Are you sure about that? No, but I think for the most part, we knew. We knew it was right. It doesn't mean everyone was happy about it. But again, like, I think there's a difference between what we're saying sometimes in people's hearts of hearts. Like, you can say, ah, I'm really upset. I missed, but at the same time, like, you knew that it wasn't going the right way. You knew that those cigars in the locker room were a problem, that the culture had gotten away from him, that the defense was awful, that they just, they weren't the same team. And they were clinging to a, to a past that was almost a decade old. It was time. Yeah. I mentioned friends, you know, last hour sulk. And it's what, you know, when a team team's doing what this team is doing it's the same

thing with the mariners right same thing with tech chains that all of a sudden reemerge with your

buddies out there and like can you believe this and all the belief and hope and all the goodwill
