We're just getting started. The tournament begins tomorrow morning, and it's one of the great success stories in the South and around the country.

A lot of it has to do with this band sitting next to me.

It is Nick Durges, who is the mayor of Hoover, Alabama.

For a quarter of a century, you were the police chief.

You ran for mayor last fall, easily elected, and this is all yours.

It's just an amazing story. What happens in this one city,

which is not just a small little city, it's a big city. Big city now. I appreciate that, Paul.

We've been very, very excited. I've been to every one of these since 1998, and a great way to

showcase the city, but what a great, just a great event for everybody that comes.

We've talked to some people tonight about how it ended up here and it was quite a, you know,

it used to be on campuses, they tried a couple of places and I know you were part of all this,

but what do you think it was that convinced people that this should be the home and it is?

Well, I think we've been able to upgrade different things over the years.

I think number one, I think the central location is good.
