The greatest regular season has concluded for the Southeastern Conference.

The tournament has arrived in the NCAA next week.

Garth Glysmann is joining us now.

We talked to him a couple of years ago.

I met him for the first time.

He came to the SEC from the NBA

where he was an attorney Garth thank you for making the time and congratulations

on what has been an amazing year. Paul you said it best since I last talked to

you at media day the SEC has had the best regular season in college basketball history.

Now we need to keep the momentum going into the postseason, starting with the SEC tournament here

in Nashville. It's going to be an epic week and a great celebration of all things, SEC.

There are a lot of reasons why the SEC is at this point. But as you reflect back on your time and knowing this league as well as you did

from a distance, what would you say and how would you describe the ascension of this league to where it is?

It's a classic case of a rising tide lifting all ships. The southeastern part of the country, there's been

enormous economic activity in recent years. You've seen that manifest itself in enrollment trends at our 16

institutions. Of course, for the last two decades, the SEC has been dominant in football. And that's

afforded our institutions, the opportunity and resources to in turn invest in

men's basketball and I think that investment in men's basketball has manifested itself most
