So Mike Ballone gets hired by UNC.

It's an interesting choice as he has not been a head coach in college, but we know that college basketball in the way that it's run now really isn't like college basketball in the past.

So he gets this opportunity.

And he was one of the first guys whose name came up when the Knicks had fired Tibbs.

But there's somebody, and I'm not sure who it is, in the building at the garden that really does not like Michael Malone. It's got to be Leon Rose, right? I don't know. I don't know if it's... I mean, it's either Leon Rose or Jim Dolan. Or Rick Brunson. Rick Brunson has a lot of say over there. True. That might be it too. I mean, I think that any one of those three guys could very easily nix that Michael Malone thing. But obviously, a guy who was, you know, born in Astoria. He's a New York guy, has had success, won the NBA championship with the Nuggets. It just, it felt like it fit after Tibbs.

And, of course, they didn't even talk to him.

I mean, it wasn't even, he didn't come in for an interview.

He wasn't even called.

There was nothing.

There was absolutely nothing when it came to Mike Malone, which I found very, very interesting.

But because of this hiring, some of the stuff has come up from that championship parade

where he got himself all lit up.
