Next against the Red Sox tonight,

Yankees against the Rangers.

And what we have right now is a good old-fashioned pennant race.

The Yankees are trying to hold on and win the American League East.

They're a game up in the lost column, over the Red Sox, over the Orioles,

and the Mets are just a half game back of the Braves and

the other two teams in front of them they're certainly within striking distance as

well and I know the Willpon family

should always say just give us important games in September and we made fun of them.

But remember one thing, there's a met team and a met organization that has made the

playoffs three times in the last 17 years.

So playing important games in September is not a given and what you have now is a September

that's going to be great.

Hopefully it's great to the point that they make the playoffs,

but every single game, including the one tonight,

means a lot, and it means a lot for the Red Sox too,
