I appreciated your

question that you kind of posed

to me and Lyle yesterday, Brock, asking us

to look through the deals

that have been consummated in

baseball this off season

and trying to figure out what the market

is, what the value is, if the

Mariners want to try to make deals themselves. And, you know, the fact that... what the market is, what the value is, if the Mariners want to try to make deals

themselves. And, you know, the fact that... Because the market is what the market's willing to pay,

right? And the fact that teams have entire, like, departments that figure stuff like that out,

and that's what they get paid to do all day, didn't detract me from thinking about your question,

even though there was no way I was going to try to actually answer it.

What I ended up with was realizing that they need to do, they need to almost, like don't really have much of a choice, but to go the free agent route or the trade a pitcher route.
