A premonition, if you will,

that Mike Tomlin's going to dump the Pittsburgh Steelers, not the other way around, even though Steelers are ready to dump Mike Tomlin. And that means we'll spend the next five years as Jet fans calling up sports talk radio talking about how Mike Tomlin should be our next head coach. We need Tomlin. Can we just go get Mike Tomlin? Mike Tomlin's been retired for three years now.

He's got to be wanting to come back now.

We need them.

Yes, we've had a few of those topics around here at WF&. For many years, it was the Mets need to hire Wally Backman as their manager. For many years, it was the Giants or Jets need to hire Bill Cower as their head coach. and pretty soon, if your premonition is right,

it'll be the same with Mike Tomlin.

Now, speaking of another Mike today,

Mike McCarthy is meeting with the New York Giants, and you have put on record that you wouldn't hire Mike McCarthy. I don't dislike Mike McCarthy, but given the other options, I'd opt for somebody else. Okay. You're in the room today, and I have said before, I think the Giants should have you in the room, though the schedule would have to be altered because the show comes first. But nevertheless, if you're in the room with Mike McCarthy, and look, you don't want to hire him, but you're also open-minded. You're having an interview with them. You're not just going to say, just blow me away type of thing. What are the questions you need to have answered from Mike McCarthy that maybe could change your view on hiring him?

I think the first thing is always who is your staff?
