because both teams are playing significant games tonight.

Their wild card lead is down to just two games,

and they're trying to avoid getting swept embarrassingly by the Philadelphia Phillies

who now have the largest lead for a division

leader in all of Major League Baseball. Think about that. There was a time the Mets were in a pennant race,

and now they have the biggest deficit of any second-place team in Major League Baseball.

Wow. It's sad. It is. Well, it happens when you don't play well in either side.

This is what it is. Yes, it does. And obviously the Yankees' importance to me tonight is if they want to win the American League East, if they want to get a first round by, if they want to get home field advantage, they better win tonight because the Blue Jays just took care of business. They shut out the Astros, 6-0. They got a dominant start by Kevin Gousman. And so the New York Yankees right now are three and a half behind Toronto. But remember, the Blue Jays have the tiebreaker. Yes, the Blue Jays have the tiebreaker, but they also had the red hot Orioles coming in. Oh, no, 9 of 10. Now, it's against, they just beat the, this. Pirates. Pirates, right the pirates, and I forget who they were in the series before, but they've won a ton of games in the row recently. They were playing the Dodgers. I know, right? And they won that game against Yamamoto on Saturday. Was it Padres? Before that, let's see who they were. They were playing the Padres, yeah? Yeah. So they're playing well against good teams. They are outside of the pirates. Right. Yeah. Maybe they're just rising to the occasion at the end of the season.
