I forgot about in terms of talking about his chances going to Philadelphia. Like that's clearly an advantage that the Phillies have. He has a relationship with Dave Dumbarowski. I do not know if he has any relationship with David Stearns. And when they spoke initially, it was just, hey, mentor to God, just letting you know what happened, blah, blah, blah. The next day is when Dave said, I'll give you the job. If you want it, I'll get rid of this Rob Thompson. Cora thinks about it, eventually says no for the family reasons. And then Dabrowski's like, oh, screw, let me get rid of Rob Thompson. Which is probably the right gesture. Like, if you're going to get rid of him, just get rid of him. Yeah, but he told Rob this. It doesn't sound like he told him on Sunday. It sounds like he spoke to Cora behind his back and said I'll make a change if you're willing to take the job. Then once he says no, I think Dumbraowski realizes, you know what, I should probably make the change anyway and now we'll promote dialogue. I wonder if that's because he knew it would get out. Which part?

That he had talked to Cora. That's a great. Maybe. I mean, it, it sort of got out, but it didn't get out until after Rob was fired. I know, but if he had been fired yesterday or two days ago, would we not be talking about this now? Yeah. Oh, no, definitely. Rob Thompson was still the manager of the Philadelphia Phillies and we found out that Dombrowski had reached out to Alex Cora, wouldn't we now be saying, well, why didn't you fire him? Yeah, definitely. You should have just fired him anyways. If you were going to replace them, you wanted to fire him, You just couldn't because you didn't get Alex Cora. So fire him anyways.

What Dumbrowski did is pretty shady, but I love the fact that he just broke it down for all of us. Like, no more speculating. Here's what happened. I spoke to him. It's his family. He doesn't, you know, blah, blah, blah. So we just have rules against this. So who cares?

Because Rob does have a really nice resume from his time in Philadelphia.

He turned around the team after Gerardy got fired.

Totally get it.

And that's probably going to be his last managerial job, which is kind of funny,

considering the run that he had was pretty good.
