This might be college football.

In the case of Betty Akko, the Alabama player,

who was good again last night as Alabama trampled Missouri,

but that's not really the big story.

The big story is what's going on off the court where there has been a request for recusal from the current judge,

and we now have some information on that.

Daniel Pruitt is the new judge. Jim Roberts is gone. He recused himself. Now it's interesting,

Daniel Pruitt is an Alabama graduate, both undergraduate and law school. He also oversees the

Darius Miles murder case. That's an offshoot of the controversy

a couple of years ago that everybody remembers that where Brandon Miller was mentioned often.

So he's the new judge. Even though he's a graduate, unlike Roberts, who was not a graduate, he is not listed as a donor.

Remember Roberts and his wife, Mary Turner, who's involved in that case as well, gave between $100 and $250,000.
