And we want to continue our conversation about LSU with the big game in Tuscaloosa coming up.

Wilson Alexander covering it all down there.

We've seen an interim coach, and now we have seen Verge Osbury elevated to the full-time athletic director to give him, I guess, a little more cover as we search for a new football coach.

This is a just a recap. This is all since October 26, which wasn't long ago.

Kelly fired, Sloan fired, governor essentially firing Scott Woodward, new president hired, new provost hired,

Verge Osbury, promoted. Wilson, thank you for the time. It's LSU football, of course.

But let's start with the AD. Where that come from what does it mean well thanks for

having me on Paul it came yesterday it was discussed when LSU went to a private executive session

lasted over two hours as it went to choose its new president Wade ruse the topic came topic came up. And then later in the day,

the same day that Ruse is his first day in office, he made the decision to remove the interim

tag from Verge Osbury. And the idea, according to multiple people around LSU, is to try to present

stability. And Ruse said that himself today in some comments that have gained

quite a bit attraction that LSU wanted to, after so much chaos, show to a prospective coach

that it has stability. However, Rousse also said in an interview with Piper Hutchinson of the Louisiana

Illuminator, that it's something that he's going to have to assess. And that, you know, as again talking to other people, that basically

meaning long term, is Verge Osbury really going to be the athletic director? Is the question here?

That's not, it seems like that is not totally clear and decided. But at least at the moment, he is

having that interim tag removed,

and he will still be the one who is leading the search for LSU's next coach.
