Third hour of the program props to our caller. It is true. They were so crazy, Buck,

that they did tear down a Frederick Douglass statue in, was it New York, New York state?

I believe is where this was taking place. And it's wild to think that this has ever ended up

happening. But this is absolutely bonkers. And it speaks to, you know, the reality of

Trump being right about ultimately all of history is under attack here. And here's the story.

A statue of Frederick Douglass installed in 2018 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the

abolitionist birth was ripped from its pedestal in Rochester, New York on Sunday. This is in July

of 2020. The 168th anniversary of one of Frederick Douglass's most famous speeches.

And I don't know that they ever ended up catching the person who was responsible.

It was in Rochester, New York, by the way, because Frederick Douglass lived there for decades.

There are 13 monuments to him throughout the city. And the entire statue was ripped apart.

And so, look, this is just, I think I would like to think, Buck, that we have come through most

of the craziness of this tear down statue universe that was going on in 2020. And in the lead-up,

as part of Charlottesville and everything else. But I want to play this because

Trump gets criticized for a lot. But he also nails intuitively much of, I think, the national

consciousness. And not only where we are in the present, this was him in Charlottesville recall,

Buck, that this is the moment when Joe Biden falsely claimed that he decided he had had to run

for president in 2020 because he bought into the very fine people. Why? But here was Trump saying

it's not going to end with Confederate soldiers. This is going to continue. Listen.
