Mariners head out on this big, big road trip, nine games.

And, you know, maybe you wouldn't feel the same way if they weren't coming off kind of a tough road trip, but it was, right?

I mean, it was a really unfortunate two and seven trip.

And so now you've got to go back out on the road and really go back to the East Coast.

The level of talent you're going to face is probably not the same, right?

None of these teams are playoff teams.

Cleveland, I guess, has an outside shot, but Tampa and Atlanta aren't going anywhere. So it's a little bit different than facing the Mets and the Phillies and some of the powerhouses from the National League. But it's still going back to the East Coast. The weather will be better. Anyway, as you look at all of that, I found myself thinking last night about things that, you know, I'd really like to see in the road trip and wrote about some of it should be up shortly there at SeattleSports.com. But here's three things that jump out to me, Brock, that I think would be really important for us to see. And the first is what we just talked about with John Smoltz, the usage of certainly Emerson Hancock. and I'll throw Edward Brizardo on there as well, two guys that, you know, you kind of need at this point to step up

and start to be, if not high leverage relievers, something in between. I would agree with that.

And by the way, just to have a little context to this trip. This is the last one. This is the last long road trip of the season. The other one after the homestand is to Kansas City,

two Houston, just a six-game trip, not nearly as long, a little more familiar foes, certainly
