I decided to take a little break and some air conditioning.

And I walked in and I was doing some dishes because, you know, I get put to work pretty much as soon as I get home.

And I look over to the fish tank and notice that the one fish we have left is upside down and not moving.

I thought you just had a dead fish.

Yeah, we did just have a dead fish.

We had two.

We had two beta fish in the same tank, but there's like a little divider, you know, that separates

them.

Life and death. The first one died pretty quickly and i don't think we noticed for like a couple of days because when we tried to take it out it just disintegrated and this yeah it's good

parenting right there when you notice your fish is dead it's already powder that's how you know you did a good job

and take care of that fish.

I definitely felt bad. I was like, dude, because when you have a kid, obviously, the pets kind of get knocked down and rung on the priority list, and the cats have kind of, you know, gotten pushed down a bit, but the fish is just always the last priority. I mean, right? If you're going to forget about a living thing, it's going to be plants and fish.

And I got home. It was upside down. And I was like, Katie, did you notice that the fish is dead? And she was like, she is? And I was like, I've been, yeah, it's a lady. Never had a name because I didn't want to get too attached and i said how long
