We are getting ready for

the Seahawks to pick, or maybe not, we'll see, at number 32 overall. Derek, helping us preview some of the names we're going to be watching, and I guess we'll take a look at what the Seahawks need to do here in 2026 to get back to a Super Bowl. Derek, I'll start by asking, what's the general feeling around this draft. You know how sometimes they have different flavors where like,

0:40.0

this is chock full of talent and this one's a little shallow. How do you see this one? Yeah, it's, you know, it's funny. I was talking about this on our show yesterday. I feel like most draft classes get judged on the three premium positions that everyone wants to see, right, which is quarterback, wide receiver, edge. And I think you can probably even throw tackle in there. And I think it's actually a really good tackle class, but it's a lot of right tackles. It's a couple of guys who, you know, maybe Spencer Fano is going to change positions. Maybe Francis Maui Noah is going to change positions. And so you just have a couple of weirer prospects, even if they are, you know,

1:11.1

top 15 quality type of picks. And then the quarterback class isn't what people want it to be.

1:16.8

You know, you've only got one guy. I think the edge class is good, but there's no Will Anderson.

1:21.6

There's no Miles Garrett. There's nobody like that. But I think the rest of the class, if you need

1:26.2

linebacker, if you need detackle,

1:28.6

if you need interior offensive line safety, all these non-premium positions, you can get

1:33.7

all those guys pretty much anywhere from picks like 10 to 70. Derek, you look at the Seahawks

1:40.0

needs and obviously running back jumps out to a lot of people with the departure of Ken Walker,

1:45.3

defensive back too, losing some guys in free agency as well. What do you think is the most

1:52.0

important need that the CX need to address next week? I think for me it's probably loading back up

1:59.3

at corner. Obviously you lose Tariq Wallen and know, they got by with Josh Job last year, but he to me is like the perfect cornerback three, kind of a cornerback two when you need them to be. And so I think reloading there is probably good. And then reloading on the edge, obviously you lose a guy like Bois Mase, DeMarcus Lawrence is going to be getting older. And so I think that to me is a position where they need to load up, not only because, you know, I think obviously a huge part of why they were a successful defense last year, is they just had waves and waves of guys off the edge. So I think there's that element of it. But again, you know, losing some guys probably do to lose Lawrence pretty soon. And so I think it's important to make sure you continually got guys at that spot, which it actually

2:38.5

is a great class for what they like. You know, they, Mike McDonald likes those guys who are a little

2:43.8

bit longer, a little bit tougher on the edge, can defend the run. This class has what feels like

2:48.6

a million of those guys. What can you tell us about Chris Johnson in particular? We've seen him mocked a few times. Yeah, Johnson is, if they're going for a corner who I think, you know, he's got decent size. I don't think he's huge. He's like kind of around that six foot range just under 200. So I think I wouldn't be surprised if they wanted somebody who was a little bit thicker, maybe like a Colton Hood. He to me has been my favorite corner if he falls to 32 for them. I don't know if that's necessarily going to happen, but I think he's probably my favorite. But Johnson, I think, is more of like, if they're going to be a defense that is playing a lot of these zone coverages and they're trying to change things up on the quarterback and they're allowing their corners to kind of play the cornerback's eyes and trigger. That's what Chris Johnson is really good at. Like to me, he's a very fluid zone corner. He actually had two pick sixes this past season, which it's kind of a miracle if a guy can get one, let alone get two. So he's the guy that if they're looking for

3:41.1

more of that kind of like ball hawking, sit-in zone, pass stuff off well type of corner, I think that he probably fits pretty well for them. CX's currently sitting with just four picks. And draft grades are something that everybody, you know, scourers over. Once the draft is over, how did we do like oh this guy gave us an F how
