We have broken down the Giants winning the Staring Battle with Saquon Barkley. They wanted a big way. We don't even understand what Saquon did.

And until he speaks tomorrow, maybe he can explain it, but he left a lot of guaranteed money on the table from the two-year deal. The deal they offered him during the by-week, the deal they offered him after the season, thinking that there was more there.

And then the running back market absolutely collapsed.

Josh Jacob has, Jacob says, he led the league in rushing last year, and the Raiders were not given what he wanted. They put a franchise tag on him. You know what? He got in a plane in the left town.

So he's not going to be there tomorrow. At least Saquon Barkley is, but this is a big win for Joe Shane. I heard what Mike Tannenbaum said. I tried to understand it, but a lot of people on Twitter don't, it's funny what they said.

That's why the judge were in Cappell when Mike Tannenbaum was the GM. He probably capitulated to these things and didn't stand and adhere to a very strict code of what you're going to pay, certain positions.

So a lot of people jumped on Tannenbaum on social media after he said what he said on the show.

Well, the biggest fundamental difference that we have is the room. He seems to think that that is something worth overpaying a player for to keep the room happy.

And when I told him and I'll say it again, the Giants didn't go rogue. This is how everybody is done with this. Even if you want to tell me that Barkley is different than Jacob.

He's different than his E. G. Allian. He's different than Dalvin Cook. In those markets on those teams, you're telling me that in Vegas, the players don't love Josh Jacobs and the fact that he led the league in rushing last year.

And he's 24 years old. He's actually younger than Barkley. Didn't get a contract. Might have to hold out. Dalvin Cook, Michael, is 28 years old.

But he had a phenomenal season last year about it. By the way, he went to the pro bowl the last four years.

1173 yards rushing eight touchdowns receiving. He had another 300 yards receiving in two touchdowns. Just he's not going back to Minnesota.

Ezekiel Elliott, you don't think he contributed to those Dow Cowboys teams that won divisions and went to the playoffs pretty much every year? Cut.

And then his backup got franchised. So I would think the players are smart enough to read the room and go, well, I can't be mad at the Giants because every other general manager in the sport did the exact same thing to their running backs.

It's a league situation. So they can be mad at the league. They didn't get on a Zoom meeting and complained about their general managers. They got on a Zoom meeting complaining about all of the GMs and the league in general.

You only get mad, Michael. I feel if you have an alternative, do you think anybody else was going to pay sake on Berkeley?

It would be interesting to say. I mean, that would have obviously shown us his true value if he was on the open market. But I don't think he would have gotten that much more.

But you know, the message that comes out of this mama, don't let your babies grow up to be running backs. Just don't let them do other things.

Let them be wide receivers. Let them be linebackers because those guys get paid running backs. Don't they just don't the way the sport is run now.
