And welcome back. We are really looking forward to checking in with Seth Emerson. We tease it early about his review of college football in the SECC.

What's it all about? The Athletic did this. Biggest reasons the SEC has missed the championship game the last three years. The portal, NIL, Sabin, didn't really get much, bad coaching hires. A lot to unpack here with Seth. Seth covers college football, spent a lot of time in the SEC. So, Seth, that's where we begin. And I'm really

curious to get you to elaborate a little bit on that question, because there's a lot of angst

in the SEC right now. Good afternoon. Good afternoon, Paul. Yeah, we've, you know, talked to coaches

about it. I spent time last, or I guess this past week in Mobile talking to players about it for a story that we'll have coming out next week.

But I thought I'd take the temperature of the fans, not just in the SEC because you can't really control in our survey whether you only get SEC fans. So we kind of, you know, also

pulled the perception of people outside the SEC of the SEC. And obviously it's not a scientific

survey. It's just a reader survey. But, you know, it was interesting. You know, the most interesting thing was going through the comments, which took me a while,

but we gave a chance for people to go through and offer up their one, two, maybe longer sentence,

thoughts on everything.

And there was a lot.

And you're right.

There's a lot of angst in the SEC. And, you know, there's a lot of kind of, you know, outside the SEC. There's a lot of told you so. Like basically, thanks to NIL, the field is leveled because you guys in the SEC can't cheat anymore because obviously no one

outside the SEC was ever paying players under the table. But within the SEC, it's among the

fandom. And you probably have seen this for yourself with your, your callers and just kind of

taking the temperature overall is one year was one thing,

two years was a little bit of a concern, third year, it's kind of an acceptance level now.

Like, yeah, it's a thing.
