We'll get to a lot of the baseball, Dan and I were talking about it.

You got to talk about the match losing two out of three to the Dodgers and how I'm getting sick and tired every time the match have a big win, like Sunday was a big win.

But it was a walkoff like this is the turning point. There are no 200 points in what it's going to be turned a law season that turned bad and you throw it out.

And the Yankees dropping two out of three in Colorado and the ugly way they lost yesterday is definitely worth discussing.

But for a while longer, a lot of people might be getting out of work, getting into their cars wanting to know what happened with Sequan Barkley, no deal.

So what does that mean? That mean the only way that Sequan plays the 2023 season is under the franchise tag.

For $10.1 million. So if he signs the franchise tag, welcome back aboard, play in the preseason, get a chance to play on opening day against the Dallas Cowboys.

If he doesn't sign the franchise tag, then he's holding out. He's not going to get fined because he didn't sign a tag, but he will lose over $600,000 a game of not getting paid on what would be the franchise tag.

Giants cannot trade him if he doesn't sign the franchise tag. So really the only recourse, I guess, is to threaten to not play opening day.

And hopefully, you know, something, you know, the Giants feel away about it. But otherwise he signs the franchise tag or he doesn't play that.

Look, I think we all agree. Giants are a better team in 2023 with Sequan, as opposed to without him.

Of course. We're all in agreement about that. And, you know, we had Jordan Ranan on about a half an hour ago or so. And he, look, he's all over this. He's on top of it.

That's in the question point blank. You know, do you think that this is Sequan Barkley's last year as a New York giant? And he said, yes.

And, and, and earlier in our interview, he said to him, this spells the beginning of the end between the relationship of Sequan Barkley and the Giants.

So you get kind of see the way that this thing is trending here. And if you're a giant fan, okay. And look, I think that that's a realistic take as to the way things have unfolded here.

For a giant fan going into this upcoming season, what you need to hope for is that Daniel Jones continues to show signs, continues to improve, continues to take ownership of this offense.

Maybe even this team, because look, the way they paint him. This is his football team now. It's on his shoulders. And he is the future, not Sequan Barkley.

And we talk about long term deal. We were talking about two years. He's 26 years old. Once you turn 28, everybody kind of figures your career is over as Dalvin Cook, let go by Minnesota.

Can't seem to get a sniff. And he had almost 1200 yards rushing last year and 10 touchdowns eight rushing into passing and can't get a sniff at anything less than maybe $7 million next year. That's just the way of the world. It stinks, but it's a fact. It's a reality.

Sequan Barkley tweeted that it is what it is. That's a very true statement. It is what it is. What do you do about it? Do you take a chance and throw in your career away and sitting a full year? Or do you just say, or I listen, I'll play hardball through training camp, rest my body. I wasn't going to play in the lousy three preseason games anyway.
