Third hour of the program on this Labor Day outkicked the coverage plays back tomorrow. There was some college football this weekend but not the usual slate so he went ahead and took it off for the first time that I can ever remember.

Lot of NFL to get to this hour we spent much of the show talking about it but we can talk a little about the NBA last night.

Lakers even it up. One one LeBron and AD come back and have a big day. Harden. I mean he didn't have 30 points. He didn't have 30. They're probably not going to win too often and Westbrook going for for 15.

I mean not good and you I saw the tweet to put out Jeff the the gift of the LeBron James block.

On Westbrook that was a soul stealer right there. I mean he came out of nowhere and that's the about about LeBron as these blocks man and just make some different everyone else. I mean just the

no one else has blocks like this like it's incredible to watch him come out and know where in your right that's so that it was a four point game at that time.

And you know okay I'm gonna make this lay up and no it's going back the other direction. Yeah and so the Lakers even it up they needed and yeah they did O2 was going to be tough.

I said yesterday on Fox Portrait on my program that you can hear three to six AM Eastern time on Sunday mornings. I said I still felt like the pressure was on the rockets because James Harden knows his legacy could be rewritten here like I've seen a few articles to that extent.

We know what he has not been able to do in years past and this year the warriors aren't in front of them the Lakers are not a there by no means in elite basketball team they have two great players and then outside of that you don't really know what you're going to get from night to night.

Tonight I don't know how much you trust the coaching staff so there's there's a lot of reasons why if the rockets play well and in game one they commit to defense and hold the Lakers to under 100 points were they're going to be able to do that again but it felt like to me.

Lebronzel Braun he's been here before an AD is standing next to Lebron that gives you a little bit of confidence as well if you're the rockets.

The rockets. Harden knows this is a year where you can get this done and they come out there and he doesn't take a whole lot of shots and Westbrook is off they come back from 20 down and I think it might actually been 21 down.

End up with the lead in the third quarter but for the rockets even if you like some of their pieces better outside of the top guys the top guys still have to show up if they don't you're not going to win in Westbrook not showing up that that that was enough to cost him right there.

Yeah I mean Westbrook has just not been good since he returned for the most part from injury but you know the Lakers they basically come and go is if they can get any sort of help outside of AD and Lebron and in the first quarter right more sit three three is I think or four.

Or four. Rondo hit a couple of threes if they get some help outside of of AD and Lebron they they're good basketball team because they play defense right and almost every night they bring their defense it's a matter of offensively can you know and Lebron is not is at the age where he can't go for triple double every night he needs help to get this done and same with Harden hard needs help to get this done you know the Lakers if you watch last night you know I know that you mentioned Frank Vogel their coaching but I'm not sure if you can get this done.

Frank Vogel their coaching by the they made some adjustments for just they double Harden as much as they could because they realize that Westbrook is not going to be able to do it and just to frustrate hard as much as possible and it worked and so now the series is is even up and this is a legacy series for Harden right I think you're you're right about that if he can't get past a Lakers team that I don't mean I don't mean most consider to be great that they're it's definitely a flawed team Jeff they're good if you can't get by this Lakers team that is not going to be a lot of fun.

And you never I mean never ever chance to win any of this right and to Westbrook's credit he did take the onus let's hear from Russell Westbrook after the game I mean he knew four for 15 not good enough and he holds himself to a higher standard and that here's Westbrook.

Some is my fault some of Miss calls but you know it's on me I don't point fingers at nobody else in my own game on my mistakes on what I do and that's it.
