| 0:15.0 | Currently, there are other playoff games going on, one that could impact the Yankees because |
| 0:18.5 | the Mariners are playing the Tigers, and if the Yankees do advance out of the division series, they would take on the winner. The Mariners are a win away from going to the ALCS for the first time since 2001, and they currently Detroit won nothing in the bottom of the third inning. If the Mariners win, they advance, if they don't, winner take all game Friday, in which they're going to have to beat the best pitcher in baseball. So it's a kind of important game four for the Mariners knowing what looms. As far as the Yankees go tonight, there is one lineup change. And remember, Aaron Boone ran out the exact same lineup in game one, game two, and in game three. And he's made one change for tonight's game. It is a bullpen game. The only thing we know from John Schneider is that Lewis Varland, the guy who gave up the home run to Aaron Judge last night, is going to start this game for the Blue Jays. He is a converted starting pitcher, in fairness. Like, he started before. So I guess that means he could go a couple of innings if he's sharp. But remember the Js have four lefties in their bullpen. So because they have four lefties and it's going to be a bullpen day, you know that John Schneider can play the matchups. And I say that because the one change that was made is that Ben Rice is out of the lineup and Paul Goldschmidt, who we all agreed should have played yesterday, is in the lineup. |

| 1:37.0 | Yeah, well, I think Ben hit the ball. |
| 1:40.8 | I mean, when we had Dave Sims on yesterday, one of the things he talked about with Ben Rice, |
| 1:44.7 | when we asked about the Goldie omission from yesterday's lineup, |
| 1:47.3 | was that Ben Rice had been putting hardwood on the bat. |
| 1:45.8 | Like, he was hitting |
| 1:48.0 | on the ball. He was hitting the ball hard. |
| 1:50.2 | And he did it last night as well. |
| 1:52.5 | And so I get why |
| 1:54.1 | you have an affinity towards |
| 1:55.9 | Ben Rice. But at the same time, |
| 1:59.9 | game four, desperation again. |
| 2:02.5 | It's a closed out opportunity for the Blue Jays. |
| 2:05.4 | You want your veteran. |
| 2:06.9 | You want your guy who's going to be a non-liability at first base, obviously. |
| 2:10.9 | We've talked about that a lot. |
| 2:12.6 | But it's also a great opportunity for Goldie, I think, to do damage on whoever |
