I have the Notre Dame Fighting Irish as the number one team in the nation going into the season.

That's even higher than preseason magazines or whatever else you can find out there.

Pete, am I crazy for putting Notre Dame at number one?

No, no, I mean, they're in that mix with Texas and a couple other teams. And I don't, I mean,

Notre Dame, they've got, from my point of view, they've got the whole package coming back.

The defense, the quarterback, coaching staff, I mean, the schedule,

they got the whole thing right there. So I think having them as a preseason number one,

a very, very defensible argument. What's funny is you look at, as soon as you use the,

because I said the exact same thing, almost all of those words,

last segment, last segment, the schedule gives them the path. And it reminds me of a Florida

State, was it 2013 Florida State that won the national championship with James Winston? Yeah.
