You know, we've had so much bad football around here,

and we could always count on the Mets and Yankees to be doing things and being competitive.

And it almost feels like both fan bases right now are reacting, like the way Jets and Giants

fans have reacted to how bad their franchises have been.

And it's just not like that.

It's just not even comparable.

And I understand the standard is higher for the Yankees and certainly for the Mets and Steve Cohen and the money that they have. But I mean, the Mets had a really, really bad season. And they have just started this offseason. And I think part of the reason why this Edwin Diaz thing has blown up the fan base of the way that it has and the

patience is no longer there and they don't even want to see what's happening next before they

ripped their eyeballs out of their sockets is because they're coming off a terrible year

and now you're starting to question your general manager and is this guy just a small market

GM does he want to run this team like the Milwaukee Brewers?

And like the only time you could really say that is with the starting rotation.

But then again, you know, they tried, like really legitimately tried.

Not like the, you know, some of these other teams that say they're in on free agents and they never are. They tried damn hard to get Yamamoto and pay him the money that Dodgers paid him. And they didn't get him. They paid Senga. They did. They did. And that was that a David Stern's move, though? Was he, was I have to go back and make sure that was a Stern's move. I think he's been here, what, for three years, right? How long was David Sterns have been to? Well, this is two full seasons. He's been the GM. Yeah, you know, again, we are reacting in real time to one player. That's what we're doing. It's like we reacted when they traded Brandon Nimmo for Marcus Simeon.

We reacted.

We thought that it was a positive move at the time.

And I, you know, I'm not saying this is a positive move, but we also said that when they

signed Devin Williams, it was mostly because this is the fallback position if they

lost Edwin Diaz.
