And we're back, and you always know it's a special day

when we're able to snare David Hale away from all of his many duties.

You read his column, at least I do early Saturday, early Sunday morning before I go on TV

so I can find out what exactly happened.

I mean, I guess I already knew that, but I read it for the snark because there's no better

snarkmeister in the world than David Hale, who also

moonlights occasionally on the ACC network.

David, how are you?

Well, the ACC network is critical in this formula.

That's where I have learned to be snarky by, because it's the only way to really entertain

yourself there. But I've added it to my LinkedIn profile, which is good. Yeah, I was about to ask you who was going to be playing in the ACC championship game, but I'm not really sure it matters, does it? No, no, no. They're going to throw a bunch of it. It'll be like in the lottery. They have the little balls that pop out. Jim Phillips will take two of them and it'll be like, yeah, Wake Forest over here, North Carolina over there, a little more Belichick TV time. That's great for everybody.

Let me ask you about Belichick because I saw the unfortunate news over the weekend, not from about Pablo Torre's and Jordan Hussein,

but that he is now, because of a trick play by Duke, going to miss the chance to play in

one of those 47 pre-Christmas bowl games. That had to be received with very bad news in Chapel

Hill.
