Shannon the Mariners win streak came to an end.

Unfortunately, season's over. It's not. But there was a lot to love about it. I was talking with Mike Salk earlier and he asked me, hey, what stood out to you or why do you think that stretch happened?

And I said, hitting home runs. just the first thing that came to mind.

And he said he felt Colt Emerson was like the single most important or notable thing to that stretch.

What do you think about that?

I think it was a lot of things.

I think absolutely home runs.

I think Colt, yes, he is injecting a little bit of energy out there, bringing a little bit of stability in the infield, although he's had a couple of bubbles, and he's going to, to begin

with. But I think that it helps that when you have guys who can kind of set the example and have

a plan and that they can stick with that

plan, it just really helps with what they're trying to do, particularly if it's at the bottom

of the lineup. And he's been a steady force at the bottom of the lineup. And you're starting to see

him take steps forward at this level. And that's exciting for everyone. So I do think that he has been a part of it,

and I do know that they very much enjoyed celebrating his successes, and he's had a couple of

the beer showers, and they're excited about what he's able to do. But I think to look at any one thing,

I think you're missing a lot, or I think that they should be of equal
