Famer Bill Walton will join us on the program.

Known Bill a long time.

I actually saw first game he ever played in.

It was an exhibition game, preseason game against Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, the Blazers, the

Lakers, and it was in Dayton, Ohio.

He went there and I knew Bill was going to get roughed up by Kareem because, well, who

didn't get roughed up by Kareem.

The game ended and Bill walked out to his car and I followed Bill Walton.

He was wearing a flannel shirt, a red and black flannel shirt.

He had a bag, a brown bag of nuts and berries that he was carrying out.

He had the ponytail, the long hair ponytail, and I'm walking out with a group of people.

I didn't say anything to him.

I just walked out as he got into his car because I love the way Walton played basketball.

Down through the years we've had many interactions.

One of my favorites was the NBA entertainment.

I would go there sometimes in New Jersey, the home office of NBA entertainment.

They put out all those great videos and I would go there and greatest games, NBA history.

And Bill came in and we did a show about one game when he was with the Boston Celtics.

Then I'm getting ready to drive into New York and I'm driving a jetta and Bill goes, can
