I guess it was the plan all along. New England Patriots, Bayley Zappy, Mac Jones.

They were both supposed to play last night and they both supposedly played last night in a

loss to the Bears. Bearscore 23 unanswered points beating the Patriots 33-14. Justin Fields

with his arm and his legs and a big surprising victory there. But the big question was, did

these quarterbacks know that they were going to be platoon last night? Here is Bill Belichek

after the game about his two quarterback plan.

At what point in the week did these guys go at the beginning of the week? This was the

plan all week long or like how did it work out with reps at practice? We went through the week.

So they were aware of the situation that they were going to split reps. We went through

the week of practice. Mac was an active last week.

Okay. Now we're not going to find this out during the week. He doesn't want the Bears

to find this out. And if both quarterbacks knew, it's just the timing of this that Mac

Jones had an interception. He was struggling. They take him out. He's getting booed. The

fans, they're cheering for Bailey Zappy. It's a standalone national TV game. You're playing

the Bears. You're at home. You're supposed to win. And isn't Belichek tied with Papa

Bear Hallis for the all-time wins? And then he was going to beat the former Bears coach

against the Bears or something like that. But it didn't work out that way. Here's Mac Jones

on the quarterback plan during the week. Coach Belichek, you know, had a really good plan

for us. And obviously that's kind of internal stuff. But I understood the plan and what

was going to happen. And I know obviously we got off to a better start. And I played a little

bit better. But I'll have a chance to, you know, practice and get back into my routine.
