Well we are not at the level that Boston has been of late, but this is a pretty good time to be a New York

sports fan.

You got the Knicks, exciting, and really good.

Up three games to one over the Sixers, they could close it out tomorrow at the Garden.

You've got the Rangers who just swept the capitals now waiting for

the winter of the islanders and the canes so they're gonna have some rest before the

second round. You have the Yankees of the third best record in baseball and they have 19 wins and they're going to start a four game set, a battle for first place in the American League East against a really good Orioles team.

And then you have the Mets who lost the first two games of the weekend

series at St. Louis but then want a thriller in a walk-off against the Cardinals

and they look like they're going to be a tough out. Are they going to win

the pennant? No. Are they going to win a championship? No, but they're going to be gritty and they're going to be tough. They have a good manager and I think that as the season goes along, if they could get back some of the injured players

they could be much better than we thought they were going to be.

So right now, you gotta feel good.
