Yeah, it's a good point for Matt Norrigan. Avery just can't compete with somebody who can scratch Bruins head and belly at the same time with the same hand. You know, Matt, that's not nice.

It doesn't deserve that. Wow. She's just back from vacation. She doesn't, she doesn't need that. That's just, that's not right. That's just, that's just wrong. Yeah, it's funny. It's not nice. Of course, today is post mortem on a Mariner season that was disappointing. In case you were wondering, Brock, they did not become the best Mariner team of all time, as I had hoped that they would at the beginning of this year. I'll own that one, screw that one up big time.

They also didn't become the least likable Mariner team of all time, as was suggested by some folks in April and May and maybe even June. And so, you know, the answer is somewhere in between.

They were not what they were supposed to be. They weren't as bad as maybe the narrative points out that they are. So I guess that's why I kind of came up with this question. If they replayed the season, would they finish any better, any worse or exactly the same.

So you replay the season with all the injuries with Marco going down, Robbie Ray going down with the underperformance of Chris Flexin and Colton Wong and all of that. Like running back with all the same, same guys.

I mean, I think the numbers in that computer, you know, when you chat with your buddy before the season, I think those numbers were around 85 wins. Right. I mean, I think that's what Dan came up with over there. It zips. And I think, you know, that's what most of the projections without a significant move.

Either in left field or DH. That's what most of those those computers and analytics came back as you need a little bit more. You need another batter too. So, you know, as usual, I'm an analytics guy. I mean, what do you want me to say? I'm a computer guy. I'm a numbers guy. And I think most of those would say, yeah, you're an 85 plus win team.

And they got to 88 with some unbelievable pitching and bullpen that that offset some of the offensive woes. They had an August into early September that was the best in the franchise as history to dig them out of some of that. But I think largely I would say, yeah, yeah, I think you're, if you were to run it back, you'd be 85 to 88 win team.

Betting line was 88. By the way, you know, it's a given in Lake Stevens betting line was 88. They hit 88 on the nose. Of course, Vegas just on top of everything. Yeah, I don't know. It's a good question. Could they have well, you came up with that? Of course, it's a great question. That's true. God, I'm brilliant. What a what a brilliant person I am. I thought this was going to be a much better married team than they were. I'm a genius, of course. Um.

I think they could have done better.

I honestly do.

And I think that's what's frustrating to me.

I think they have the talent to be better than 88 wins.

And you didn't?

I don't think in retrospect that they have the talent to win with the four best teams

in baseball.

But do I think they could have, if you played it over again, do better by a game or two?
