When airports smell great.

There's a good chance you've been showering all wrong, according to experts.

And I know we've talked about how long a shower is supposed to be and how many days a week

you are supposed to shower or how many days you can skip in a row and I think most people agree

you shower once a day unless you do something that makes you absolutely disgusting or you smell

your own pits and then you're like I really need a shower usually if you can smell that you need

a shower you've waited too long to need a shower hmm Hmm. Okay. Keep going. And this is an intervention on Alley specifically right now. But now they're saying that apparently if you are facing the water or facing away from the water, one of those is right and one of those is wrong.

Well, there are benefits to either direction. So if you face towards the shower where the water is coming down on your face.

Don't you start that? Doesn't everyone start that way? It's like, I need to wake up. Because you're going to turn it on that way. You've got to be facing it to turn it on. Well, I turn it on and then I walk away because I need some heat up time. Really? Yeah, the shower needs to be scalding hot by the time I get in there. I'm not walking into a cold shower situation.

That's a real, I feel like that's always like a woman thing too. Like it's just the level of heat. It needs to warm up. My wife and I can never shower together, which I wish we would because I feel like that would lead to sex. But the temperature she wants that is the hottest it will go to the point

where at one point I had to take apart at a hotel one time. It went all the way hot. It still wasn't hot enough that I had to unscrew the thing and move it even more. Great. And it was and it was like at a level of heat that no one could have enjoyed. She was like it's still not good, but I'll deal with it. And if I'm in a situation where the shower, I have to be in the shower when the shower is turned on, that period when it's cold to when it gets hot is excruciating. And I'm angry the entire time until it starts to get warm. Yeah, you do that little dance in the corner. Yes. But here's the thing. If you face towards the shower, yes, it has benefits,

but the main thing is that it can dry out your skin or it can irritate your eyes and worsen sensitivity

around hot water if you're always facing towards the shower. And I always thought that you were

kind of spinning around. I have a shower that is so hot, I cannot face any one direction for too long. I have to constantly be moving. I have to be rotating. You could also make it less hot. You have the control to make it less hot. You're choosing. No, because then if I turn away, then my front side of my body's cold. That's why you've got to get one of those rich people showers that has like things from both sides. Oh, it's like a power sprayer?

Yeah, a power sprayer. Yeah, power spray. That's cool. One time I feel like I was at a hotel gym or spa that had that thing. And I was like, why does every shower not have this? It makes perfect sense. Yeah, were you just getting showered on from every direction? From every direction. but do you just pick a direction and stick with it? Because I always thought we just kind of move back and forth. As you're washing your hair out, you've got to get the front and the back. But apparently, according to this, a lot of people just pick one direction and stick with it. See, my move's a weird move, but I think that most people do it wrong because most people just stand in the water the whole time.

I get in for a quick pre-w rinse and then I stand off to the side and I soap up pits and slits, like I've said. You don't turn off the water? What? What I don't turn off? Yeah, I turn it off. You've got to save water. What I'm in the military? Stop it, Omar. You hate the world more than anyone.
