Little after 4 o'clock on this 4th of July Eve, 2025, huge, huge baseball games, considering

it's only July 3rd tonight for both the New York Yankees and the New York Mets.

The Yankees are trying to avoid being swept by a division rival to Toronto Blue Jays.

Stop the bleeding before they head to the subway series.

And for the Mets, this is a huge swing game because they have played crappy baseball for three weeks.

And by simply winning a game tonight with their best starting pitcher on the mound,

even though he hasn't pitched like that over the last two starts,

the Mets would win a series against a wild card rival.

And that would feel damn good. So I think the difference between the Mets losing win a series against a wild card rival, and that would feel damn good.

So I think the difference between the Mets losing yet another series would be depressing

and winning a series against the Brewers, which would make you feel good about life.

So I do think tonight is a big swing night for both the New York baseball teams

before they play the Subway Series tomorrow. And this Subway Series comes in with a lot of, like, blonness to it. Because the Soto Return thing was the Bronx. It doesn't matter here at City Field. It's not a return. He's just facing his former team. And obviously, both teams are not playing great baseball. I'm sorry, I apologize. I just realized that I'm wearing my floppy hat

with the City Connect side out. Why do you not like the City Connect side? Because when I got the Mets going by wearing my floppy hat awkwardly last week, I was doing it with the white pinstripes.
