David, how's it going? I'm good good how are things out in Seattle much better after taking two of three from a

very hot Braves team this could have gone a very different direction so I wanted to start by asking you

just about the start to the season for Seattle I think it's it's kind of true for everyone that it's been underwhelming so far.

But how much of this do you see as, you know, not lasting and how much of it is genuinely

concerning?

It's a good question.

I would say I'm slightly concerned only because if you look at the last two years take out the what was it 17 wins and

18 games in September and they've mostly been a 500 team so we got to factor that in you know

how legit was that one unbelievable hot streak last year and how legit is this sort of mediocre start.

It's early.

The AL is weak.

The division is weak.

The Mariners still have, you know, outside of the Yankees, I think, the most talented team in the AL.

So if you had to say on May, what's today, May 5th, are they going to make the playoffs?

I'm still saying yes, you know, but with some slight hesitation.

Yeah, it's weird over here because you see what this team can be.
