Well, I kind of knew a little bit, just had it not said anything about it. I

didn't do it. It was kind of going forward as just a matter when it was going to announce it. So

when Steve called me, I was in total shock, you know, really surprised because I talked

that window had passed us by, you know, because of the previous ownership. But this ownership has

really embraced the history of this franchise and believe in the history of the franchise.

And you know, when I got the news, it was great joy. And I just started reflecting back on

of some of the people, not just myself, I'm talking about the people through the organization,

for me, coming through in my rookie year, you know, playing rookie ball with Chuck Miller,

as my manager, Jean Dupin, Davey Johnson, and just on and on the people that had a great impact

on my career, to give it to the big leagues, to be able to play at the highest level in New York City.
