the most interesting story of this day. I read it on the plane coming over here in the athletic

about what went wrong with Jimbo Fisher, Bruce Feldman among the great reporters and writers

on this story. Bruce, thanks so much for the time and you and two of your colleagues did a very,

very deep dive on Jimbo Fisher. Good afternoon and tell us what you learned.

Yeah, my self Sam Khan and Max Olson spent a couple of weeks talking to a lot of people who

either had worked at NM still work at NM or people who had faced them to kind of do a deep dive on

how did this go so badly? Because obviously we know that you know it was an insanely high buyout

and we knew that the contract that Jimbo had and yet except for one season it was all like a massive

disappointment and they had this the greatest highly ranked recruiting class that anybody ever

signed a couple of years ago and it all just fizzled out. So as we started talking to a lot of people

where did all the things go wrong? And there's a bunch of layers to this Paul. I mean on one

hand you have Jimbo and folks at Auburn remember you know remember him from that side of it.

You know he has developed a bunch of first round quarterbacks in his time. He had three at Florida

state including James Winston. When he was at LSU he certainly you know helped Jim Marcus Russell
