staying with the Yankees and Jeff Passon had a tweet earlier that Aaron Judge

strongly considered San Diego. The Padres had a better offer on the table than

the Yankees did. The giants also were in there as well. The Yankees bumped up

their offer nine years, 360 million dollars and Judge decided to stay put.

I don't like these long term contracts, but the agent's no. That's what you

ask for now. And the back end of these deals like trade turner back into his

deal in Philadelphia is ugly. Bryce Harper, I think, is going to be a bargain

set it at the time. And I do believe you'll be a bargain in Philadelphia.

Aaron Judge, that kind of money, you know, the Yankees play different than most

teams. You see the Dodgers play different than most teams. They have the money.

They generate the money. But do I want to have Aaron Judge for nine years? I do

not five. Okay. But the agent's going to say we can get nine years some other

place. The giants will give them nine years. So the Padres will. But if you're the

Yankees, you basically bet on him not having this year that he had. Now you're

betting on him having similar years to what he just had. Nine years. Nine years

is an eternity. It's like when I look at Albert Poole, he had two

see two different careers. He had a Hall of Fame career and then he had a

career with the angels. Now did he have a resurgence at the end of his career?
