The Supreme Court in its June decision right May June come out around then in its next series of decisions is going to tell us whether or not the system of racial advantage in college admissions is constitutional.

This all came about because the a group of Asian students or rather Asian students and then a group of lawyers representing them brought suit against Harvard and what they showed is something that anybody who has understood the college admissions process for a long time knows has been underway, which is that the holistic.

Here's just a quick history of what has happened here with affirmative action in college admissions.

I'm even more familiar with that than I am with the way it works and say federal government hiring and hiring in general.

I've had a number of friends who worked on admissions committees at Ivy League schools and they wouldn't really talk about it when they were there but when they finished I had long debriefs with them about the situation and here's the short version.

They pretend as a matter of policy whether it's Harvard Princeton Yale Stanford Duke you know all these ultra fancy and and elite schools they pretend that what they do is they look at the it's a holistic approach is what they say and this is how they get around because quotas we recognize.

Quotas are just an all out of salt on the meritocracy and quotas in other countries and other places have shown.

I'm sure Joe Biden and you just say buck I'm only putting a black woman on the Supreme Court and then you've run your entire campaign on that which would theoretically not even be permissible under existing American law.

There's always the Biden factor yes Biden decided to just say out loud what you're not supposed to say or rather to make a declaration about that but quotas are not okay so what do they do they said well as long as it's just one factor among many what this is is effectively
