I will answer a question that was posed to us a few minutes ago, which is will Pete Alonzo retire as a New York met? I still can't definitively say yes because I think that this

offseason, despite this big year Pete is having, may turn in to another shortest term deal.

Another three-year big money opt out after one deal. And I know that may be stunning to a lot

of people because he's having such a great year.

Right.

But I'm still not positive that a right-hand hitting after 30-year-old first baseman is going to get a five or six-year deal.

Yeah.

I don't know.

Well, maybe he opts out and makes it a four-year deal and then he retires.

I don't think so, man. I think I heard Pete say he wants to play into his 40s.

Actually, I did.

He was on with Mookiee Betts.

And when he did that podcast interview, he said, yeah, I want to play to my 40s.

So that's a guy that's going to want to play for a very long time.

If he's going to play into his 40s, he's likely not to finish a MET.

Well, that's why, it's tough to answer the question. If the question is, do I think Pete's going to be met next year?

Yes.

Do I think Pete Alonzo is going to be met in 2027?

Yes.
