When audit the entire government becomes your campaign message, it means voter assume that the system is already hiding something.

So you've got the rise of the audit the government campaigns, and that's not just

about fiscal responsibility. It really is a sign that trust in institutions is so low that people

want outsiders checking the books. And that's what we've got here in Indiana. Good morning.

It is Casey and Jim. Thank you so much for joining us. Darren

Vote. He is a conservative businessman and he has announced that he's running for Indiana

State Senate and he unveiled his plan called the Great Hoosier Audit. And the idea is to have

an independent review of Indiana state government to find waste, fraud, and abuse.

Yeah, there's a lot going on here.

So, Darren votes running in Indiana State Senate District 15, which is currently held.

And he's running as a Republican.

So he's running against incumbent Republican, Liz Brown.

And you may think to yourself, oh, that's probably part of all of those Republicans that are being

primary because of redistricting last year. Actually not.

Now, Liz Brown was in favor of...

Liz Brown was extraordinarily vocal and in favor of redistricting. This actually goes back

farther than that. If you remember during last year's General Assembly, there was a

anti-illegal immigration bill that a lot of Republicans really wanted to see be voted on in the Senate.

And Liz Brown, she chaired the committee under which that bill was sitting in, and she never allowed it to come to a committee vote.

So it never got brought to the full Senate.

Got to a big fight with Todd Rokita.

And that made Attorney General, Indiana Attorney General, Todd Rokita, very upset.
