First of all, it's likely that the U.S. will strike, and it's likely that it will be a very

significant strike because what you want to do is take out with the means of retaliation

that the Iranians have.

Okay, so if we strike, its aim is to weaken Tehran's ability to threaten its neighbors and Israel,

also signaling support for protesters facing crackdown in the country, and that's where we're at.

We're doing this for our allies.

Because clearly, Iran is not a direct threat to the United States.

But you, and look, you set a couple of things there, but that's not what Donald Trump

has been saying.

Donald Trump has been saying that we can't allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon, and they're

on the verge of that, and this is why we have to go and do this.

And Trump has done, Trump has done an awful job at selling this to the American people.

He's done an awful job of selling it to Congress, apparently.

But, you know, at the end of the day, he doesn't need to sell it to Congress.

He's got the War Powers Act.

He can do limited strikes as long as he informs Congress within 48 hours or whatever the specifics of that act are.

And he certainly did that in Venezuela and the strikes on Iran last summer.

He really needs to sell this to the American people,

especially if he wants the Republicans to have a shot at the midterms at the end of this year.

He needs to sell this to the American people.

And this is this is odd for Trump because Trump is a spectacular salesman he understands messaging he understands
