Hockey is coming back, golf is coming back, NFL, college football looks like it's full

speed ahead.

Which fans across the country are watching closely?

Not just games, we're waiting for the games, those are on pause for the most part, but

they're watching their teams and players to see how they react to what's happening in

the world, certainly here in the United States.

And there are no easy answers on the right response.

A hollow and scripted statement means little.

Total silence has been disappointing to fans and the players of those teams.

There's an argument that professional teams aren't in the business of making statements

on social justice.

And maybe that's true most of the time, but this week it's different.

This week the nation, all eyes are on Minnesota.

Decent people on both sides of the aisle are appalled at the murder of George Floyd.

And when you're in the sports business, especially one with a predominantly African-American

employee base, it's an exceptional time.

One, hopefully that spurs not just statements from both teams, players and frankly all of

us, but actions to make our country a better place.
